Ses Illetes beach

Know as one of the most popular beaches in Formentera, playa de ses Illetes is a little slice of heaven due to having the clearest turquoise sea spanning along both sides of the narrow beach. During peak season its gets pretty crowded at Illetes, so if you want a piece of the coveted white sand it pays to get there early, otherwise head to the less populated Llevant, located on the opposite side of the promontory, a few minutes walk away. Ses Illetes is perfect for swimming as the beach gently shelves into the sea, is shallow to quite far out and has 2 patrol towers manned by life-guards during summer.  This makes it great for kids, and there is usually water sports equipment such as Hoby-cats, and kayaks available to hire during peak season.  There is a restaurant with toilets at the northern end of the beach, and a few other beach bars spread along its sandy expanse.  Unfortunately, some if not all of these restaurants close in off season, which is the best time to go if you like a quiet beach.

You can get to playa de ses Illetes by car which will cost you from 6 euros to park for the day (Scooters and push bikes are less) in season, or get here before 9am and park for free. It is free to park in off season. You can also get here by a small ferry from the port of La Savina. You can also get a ferry from the little jetty at the northern end of the beach to the small island of Espalmador.
